Webex Integration Partners embrace the power of AI at Cisco Live Amsterdam

The atmosphere was electric at the Cisco Live event in Amsterdam this month, fueled by an all-time record attendance of over 16,000 participants from 99 countries. Of course, Webex Integration Partners were there in force, working the floor and running demos as they connected with customers, Cisco leaders, and friends old and new.

The event showcased the latest technology innovations and solutions from Cisco, with a special focus on AI and its power to drive digital transformation and business growth. “AI is the biggest disruption ever,” Oliver Tuszik, President, Cisco EMEA, told the crowd, noting that Cisco is “embedding more AI into our products than ever before.”

“On top of everything,” he added, “we have all of our partners helping us implement the best solutions adapted to your local needs all around the world.”

AI integration across the Webex platform

Most Webex partners already know how AI has steadily become an integrated part of the Webex ecosystem and they were treated to a host of new capabilities in Amsterdam. “AI is pervasive across the entire platform,” said Jeetu Patel, EVP and General Manager, Security & Collaboration. He talked about the many benefits of the powerful Cisco AI assistant which spans the entire Webex Suite, from calling and messaging to meetings, polling, and more.

For example, if you’re in a meeting and have to leave for a few minutes, the AI assistant can give you a recap of the part of the conversation that you missed, so you can get up to speed when you rejoin the meeting. AI integration with Webex Control Hub and Cisco ThousandEyes can help IT administrators get to the bottom of user experience issues fast – all with simple natural language queries.

Reimagining workplaces

AI capabilities are part of Cisco’s ongoing commitment to reimagining workspaces and creating a frictionless and integrated collaboration platform. Since 98 percent of meetings will have at least one person who’s not in the room, the key is to “take away the distance” between remote participants, Jeetu says. “Distance zero is a big principle for us as we think about the new world of hybrid work,” he said.

This will require not just putting screens and video in every room, but “fundamentally re-architecting the room” – and Cisco has blueprints and a portfolio of devices to optimize every kind of space, from boardrooms to huddle spaces.

As Cisco reimagines workplaces, it’s also reimagining work itself by offering user experiences that are fully integrated, look and feel the same, and have a “gorgeous UI,” Jeetu said. By building everything on a common platform, Cisco can create an innovation once and make it available to every single application on the platform, all of them completely secure.
One more thing

“Making user experiences frictionless, honoring people’s privacy, and keeping organizations safe are core principles that not only do we care about but our customers care about,” Jeetu told the attendees at Cisco Live in Amsterdam. “But there is another partner that shares those same values, and that’s Apple.”

“There was a magical moment that happened early this year, where Apple launched one of the most consequential devices of our times – the Apple Vision Pro,” Jeetu said. And now the two partners have created something truly exciting: Webex for Apple Vision Pro. This spatial computing platform allows people to drag and drop as they collaborate, leverage real-time translation and AI noise removal, and keep security and privacy at the center of the experience. This new Webex app, exclusively designed for Apple Vision Pro, is now available on the App Store for visionOS.

Showcasing success with Webex Integration Partners

Cisco Live Amsterdam as always was a great place for Webex Partners to network with customers and experts – and to show off their latest apps and integrations.

The Webex team presented an array of diverse application experiences at the Webex Integrations booth in the World of Solutions. Many of these applications featured built-in AI capabilities, illustrating the potential of AI in transforming organizational efficiency. Partners such as Parrot.ai and Seismic were at the forefront of being able to show the power of AI and its impact on Hybrid Work. Additionally at the Webex Integrations booth the team featured application experiences delivered by Envoy, Webex Calling for Chrome, Journey, Lucidspark, PitchHub, and Salesforce.

“The team had a constant stream of customers, partners and sellers present at the booth to see our partner application experiences,” said Kevin Ian Barrow, Webex Technical Marketing Engineer. “All were really impressed with the number of applications we have available on Webex App Hub, but also the level and depth of integration,” Kevin said.

Numerous partners also made a significant presence by showcasing at their own booths, on the exhibition floor and participating in onstage workshops and interviews with the Webex team. These partners included Eleveo, MoYoBi by Evercom, Imagicle, Kollective, Kurmi, Tuki, and VQ Communications.
