Backed by a 99.999% SLA, it delivers the performance required for mission-critical communication across any deployment model.

Here’s a closer look at the latest innovations driving the future of Webex Calling.

Smarter customer interactions with Webex Calling

We’re focused on delivering AI-powered innovations that help businesses manage customer interactions more effectively, improve satisfaction, and optimize operations. Here are a few of the exciting announcements we’re excited to share:

AI Receptionist: Your always-on virtual front desk

Introducing AI Receptionist for Webex Calling—an intelligent virtual assistant designed to streamline routine front-desk interactions. It can answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, transfer callers to users or queues, and respond to frequently asked questions, enabling your teams to focus on more complex, high-value customer engagements. AI Receptionist will be available later this year as an add-on to Webex Calling.

Webex Calling Customer Assist innovation

First introduced at Enterprise Connect 2025, Webex Calling Customer Assist is getting even more powerful. Available as a Controlled Release in the first half of calendar 2026, Text Queues will allow agents to interact with customers via text messages from within the Webex app—perfect for sharing links, addresses, meeting invites, and more.

Also coming soon to Webex Calling Customer Assist:

  • AI Assistant for Agents: Offers real-time support and insights to enhance agent performance.
  • Call Queue Recording: Enables better quality assurance and compliance.
  • Click-to-call: Customers can reach your business directly from your website using our powerful SDK—no login, extra licenses, or authentication needed. It’s fast, seamless, and friction-free.

Secure, compliant mobile calling with Webex Go

Mobile communication is essential for modern businesses. To address this need, Webex Go provides secure, compliant, and private mobile calling that supports any workstyle. At Cisco Live, we showed off several key enhancements that further elevate the Webex Go experience.

Webex Go is now included at no additional cost with the Webex Calling Professional license, making it more accessible than ever. Customers also benefit from increased flexibility in wireless connectivity, with the ability to obtain phone numbers and service from our Certified Mobile Calling Providers—a trusted group of thoroughly vetted partners known for delivering enterprise-grade reliability that includes AT&T Business, CallTower, Nuwave, and Pure IP.

We’ve also expanded our global footprint – Webex Go is now available through our Certified Mobile Calling Providers in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and Mexico – complementing our existing availability in the US, UK, and France.

MMS support for Business Texting

Business Texting continues to be one of our most requested features. We’re excited to share that MMS support is coming to Webex Calling in early 2026—enabling users to send and receive images, videos, and other media. Our Certified Calling Providers will also support SMS/MMS for Webex Calling, expanding flexibility for customer communications.

Microsoft Teams Integration

For organizations that use Microsoft Teams for meetings and messaging, Cisco Call for Microsoft Teams ensures they don’t compromise on voice. The integration just got even better with:

  • AI-powered voicemail transcription
  • An improved seamless single-app experience
  • Enhanced notifications via the Cisco Call Bot and sidebar notification badge
  • E911 integration
  • Easy access to the Calling Dock, Webex Calling Customer Assist, and Webex Attendant Console

With Cisco Call for Microsoft Teams, organizations can deliver a seamless, enterprise-grade calling experience directly within the Teams interface. Powered by Webex Calling, this integration enables users to stay within their familiar collaboration environment while benefiting from the reliability, security, and advanced features of Cisco’s industry-leading calling platform—all without added complexity.

Ongoing innovation on-premise

With over 30 million Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) users around the world, we’re dedicated to supporting and innovating on-prem deployments. That commitment continues with exciting updates on the way. In the next 12 months, we’ll roll out CUCM 15 SU3 and SU4, which will bring important enhancements—including new Federal certifications and expanded support for Nutanix and NFVIS hypervisors.

We’re also introducing PSTN Trunking, making it easier for CUCM—or any premises-based system—to connect to Webex Calling. This new capability lets businesses tap into Cloud PSTN through our 30+ Certified Calling Providers, helping reduce costs, simplify infrastructure, and increase agility.

And this is just the beginning—more CUCM innovations are on the horizon and will be unveiled at WebexOne 2025, so stay tuned!
