The Webex AI Agent was the star of the show, demonstrating customer experience excellence through five immersive experiences that brought to life its key capabilities:

  • Autonomous, always-on self-service accessible via voice and digital channels such as Apple Messages for Business, WhatsApp, RCS and webchat.
  • Natural, human-like conversational AI that understands and responds intelligently to inquiries, making interactions feel personal and engaging.
  • Real-time intent fulfillment enabling order selections and customized user requests to be handled instantly.
  • Complex system integrations with user profiles, Airtable, Webex Connect workflows, and more, showcasing the AI Agent’s ability to orchestrate across multiple platforms.

Imagine it – amid the vibrant buzz of the WebexOne show floor, you step into a sleek glass pod where the noise instantly fades away. Inside, it’s just you, a stunning Cisco DeskPro, and the Webex AI Agent, ready to engage.

These soundproof Quiet Cubes created the perfect setting for intimate, one-on-one conversations with the Webex AI Agent. Attendees were greeted by the crisp, interactive display of the Cisco DeskPro, guiding them through a menu of real-world scenarios like replacing a stolen credit card, rescheduling a doctor’s appointment, or rebooking a flight. To add a bit more fun into the mix, they could also chat with WipeOut, a witty San Diego surfer-dude persona that brought a laid-back vibe to the entire experience.

The chosen AI Agent delivered a dynamic, natural conversation that felt almost human – flowing naturally, understanding context, and adapting even when users interrupted or switched topics mid-chat.

Behind the scenes, an expertly designed workflow including advanced speech recognition, contextual AI, and robust security guardrails, worked in harmony to catch every nuance and keep the interaction secure and seamless.

The results?

  • The Quiet Cubes attracted 3X the engagement of typical demo stations within the expo hall 
  • Over 57% of users interacting with at least two agents
  • Sessions averaged 11 minutes inside the cubes.
  • WipeOut was the crowd favorite, accounting for over 50% of interactions.

Many attendees shared their surprise and delight at the innovative experience – “Wow, AI made that really easy…and fun.”

AI Concierge: Your Smart, Always-On Event Guide

Navigating a large conference can be overwhelming with countless sessions, roundtables, and activities vying for your attention. That’s where the AI Concierge came in – a perfect companion to the WebexOne app, ready to assist attendees 24/7 with any question, anytime.

Powered by the Webex AI Agent, the AI Concierge made it effortless for attendees to find sessions, check schedules, ask questions, or get quick venue information—all personalized and delivered through natural, conversational interactions on their preferred channels. This smart assistant provided real-time, tailored responses by leveraging contextual data and advanced natural language processing.

More than just a tool, the AI Concierge was a vivid demonstration of how AI can transform information into an intuitive, accessible, and human-like experience, helping attendees feel connected and informed throughout the event.

Voice-Activated Coffee Ordering: The Webex Café of the Future

At the Webex Café, mobile ordering through our AI Barista has always been a crowd favorite. This year, we took it up a notch by introducing the Voice AI Barista, ready to take your order over the phone, even amid the buzz of a noisy expo hall.

Taking orders by voice in the middle of a bustling show floor is no small feat, but our Voice AI Barista nailed it, understanding diverse accents, casual phrasing, and quick corrections like “Actually, make that decaf!” with ease. Each order seamlessly flowed into the order queue, blending smart automation with a human touch.

Adding to the flavor, we rolled out special afternoon-only menu items like Matcha, Cold Brew, and Snacks. Training the AI Barista to recognize and respond to these time-sensitive options required some serious engineering wizardry. By leveraging Webex Connect workflows and autonomous AI Agent prompting, the Barista stayed perfectly in sync with the menu changes, no matter the hour.

And because every great experience deserves great data, a real-time Splunk Dashboard at the counter displayed live stats, order trends, and insights throughout the event.

Overall, we served over 1,000 cups of coffee over three days – 19% coming through the Voice AI Barista – with lattes proving to be the drink of choice.

Digital Scheduling: Smart Simplicity in Action

Across the Webex Playground, there was no shortage of fun – only the question of when to fit it all in. From massage chairs to Team Picnic’s pro-cycling challenge to the ever-popular McLaren Racing Simulator, these exciting experiences were a huge draw and we wanted to ensure that as many attendees as possible got a chance to take part in the fun.

Enter Digital Scheduling powered by Webex Connect, part of Webex CX Solutions. Attendees simply scanned a QR code at any of six show floor activities to reserve their timeslot, directly from their preferred messaging channel on their mobile device. If they needed to reschedule or cancel their appointment, it was as simple as a tap of a button.

Behind the scenes, Webex Connect orchestrated the entire communications workflow, turning what could have been chaos into a seamless, intelligent experience. No waiting, no confusion – just smooth, connected participation.

What’s particularly interesting is that this was a scripted flow, not an autonomous AI agent. Yet, attendees could still access the scheduling experience through the AI Concierge and the Webex One app. It’s a great example of how AI-driven experiences can integrate with flow-based automation to deliver valuable, cost-effective outcomes for customers.

Why just watch AI at work when you can build your own? At this hands-on station, attendees rolled up their sleeves and dug into the AI Agent Studio to design, train, and launch their own AI Agents in minutes.

Attendees got to explore prebuilt templates, import their own knowledge base and test everything in real time on both voice and in chat.
