WebexOne 2025 has been a thrilling ride, full of innovation powered by AI. We’ve been honored to host friends from growing partnerships, including NVIDIA– whose AI-engines have been embedded into Cisco Collaboration devices for over a decade.
In that decade, we reduced the impact of distance with powerful audio, video, and language AI. We supercharged worker productivity with generative AI. And most recently, we introduced AVoIP peripherals, making it easier than ever to deploy state-of-the art, AI-ready rooms with Power over Ethernet; enabling Distance Zero with just one click. The future of AI is agentic, and our devices aren’t just AI-ready: they’re AI-delivering.
Introducing your hardware’s greatest value yet: RoomOS 26.
I’m thrilled to announce RoomOS 26, so much more than a brilliant UI and software update. RoomOS 26 brings Connected Intelligence—unlocking new possibilities for customers as work transforms.
RoomOS 26 is an update that completely changes what is possible– elevating your devices from an in-room video conferencing tool to an AI-powered digital workforce: a superpower inside and outside of the virtual meeting. Think of a device as a versatile teammate—taking on incredibly helpful personas—working with you and for you, whether or not you’re in a meeting.
Your AI-powered notetaker
Previously, the challenge with AI transcription and summaries was the need for conversation to take place inside a virtual meeting; creativity strikes whether you click the ‘join’ button or not. With RoomOS 26, users can click AI Notes on the closest device and receive the full value of AI transcription and summaries—an AI notetaker, ready at the ask.
Your agentic camera director
Two years ago, we announced a vision: cinematic meetings. It was an ambition to build video devices that intelligently switch between modes to display the best view of a virtual meeting at any given moment. Since then, wev‘e been building intelligent camera capabilities like People Focus and Frames. With the launch of RoomOS 26, we now have the necessary agentic AI capabilities to intelligently switch between modes and choose the right shot – like a movie director chooses shots and scenes. The new Dynamic Camera Mode is the default in our latest OS, so the end-user never has to manually select camera modes on the room controller.
As seen in the video, our newest device—Cisco Room Vision PTZ—helps bring the cinematic meetings experience to life. Leveraging advanced pan-tilt-zoom capabilities with Cisco’s camera intelligence, we’re moving beyond static video feeds to create meeting experiences that are attentive to human dynamics and spatial context. With near-360 room coverage, the Room Vision PTZ provides a foundation for more nuanced, automated switching—ensuring that our devices respond intelligently to the evolving needs of both in-room and remote participants.
Your digital Workspace Advisor
Our responsibility is not only to the end user, but also to those who manage these environments at scale. We design our products for both users, constantly challenging ourselves to make work easier for administrators. In speaking with IT leaders, we consistently hear about the challenges of maintaining both operational excellence and user experience across workspaces. Workspace Advisor is our continued response to this challenge: by leveraging the cameras and AI processing within each device, we can generate a digital replica of every meeting room—unlocking visibility into room dimensions, equipment, and overall set-up efficiency. All this, while maintaining user privacy by processing data locally wherever possible.
This capability moves us closer to a model where every room is continuously optimized, and every IT team is empowered to make data-driven decisions at scale. It’s a foundational step toward the self-improving workplace.
This is how we are thinking about our entire portfolio – how we can make it easier to deploy and manage the workspace. We’re leveraging both software and hardware to reduce touchpoints and complexity. Consider the Ceiling Microphone Pro, which uses an industry-first adaptive AI microphone to auto configure to the space – no more precise measurements to correctly align the microphones to pickup the entire room. Launching this week at WebexOne, admins can map out areas of the room that shouldn’t be heard, filtering out noise or voices within the Audio Exclusion Zone. Take a look:
Powerful workspace management at your fingertips
Over the last few years we’ve been building out a robust backend – exposing data from built-in device sensors, fed to a suite of management tools. It all starts with Control Hub, which provides centralized provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting for entire device fleets, simplifying complex tasks at scale.
Cisco RoomOS 26 doesn’t just deliver powerful AI-driven experiences—it makes them easier than ever to manage and scale. With Network Aware Rooms, admins can extend AV accessories and streamline deployment across the enterprise using IP-connected collaboration devices and Cisco managed network switches.
The new Cisco Catalyst 9200X Smart Switches integrate directly into our meeting room technology—providing end-to-end visibility of every meeting room, including devices, peripherals, third-party screens, and accessories. Admin can manage the switch right alongside their AV components.
AI Canvas takes this further, offering a comprehensive dashboard for administrators to monitor, analyze, and fine-tune their network performance using agentic AI. Ultimately, our strategy is to dissolve the boundaries between physical and digital workspace management—enabling organizations to adapt with agility, supported by pervasive intelligence across the network.

Meet your way, without boundaries.
Interoperability is at the heart of our mission—because work doesn’t happen in silos. Whether you’re joining a meeting on Webex, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Zoom, Cisco devices with RoomOS 26 are designed to deliver a seamless, intuitive experience across platforms. Our commitment to open standards and deep integrations ensures that teams can collaborate effortlessly, wherever and however they choose.
Industry-first intelligence for Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform
At WebexOne we announced a major leap forward in the partnership between Cisco, Microsoft, and NVIDIA—three organizations united in a mission to advance workplace experiences through Al. Our longstanding partnership with NVIDIA has shaped the evolution of Al powered experiences in meetings, while our partnership with Microsoft has transformed how enterprises collaborate at scale.
Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) optimized for NVIDIA Al on Cisco RoomOS establishes a new benchmark for interoperable, intelligent workspaces. This unique solution empowers organizations to seamlessly deploy and manage devices with robust AI driven intelligence, enterprise grade security, and manageability- a milestone accomplished by partnership between three industry leaders.
Expect to see the first wave of Cisco devices for Microsoft Teams running MDEP in early 2026, further strengthening our existing portfolio and ensuring continuity for our customers. By joining forces with our partners, Cisco is empowering organizations to unlock new potential, today and for the future. The era of intelligent, interoperable collaboration has arrived, and we’re leading the charge.
Coming soon – Zoom for Cisco Rooms
Expanding our commitment to providing intuitive and intelligent experiences regardless of platform, last month we announced Zoom for Cisco Rooms. It’s the result of our latest partnership with Zoom, and it significantly improves the experience of joining fully-featured Zoom meetings on Cisco devices. To learn more, check out my recent blog.
Looking ahead, together
As we wrap up an incredible WebexOne 2025, we’re more excited than ever for the journey ahead. The innovations we’ve shared are only the beginning—every update is fueled by your feedback and the fast-changing needs of the modern workplace. Thank you for trusting us as your partner in collaboration; together, we’re building the intelligent, flexible, and human-centric workspaces of tomorrow.
