Collaboration devices should work the way you do. That’s why at Cisco, we’re redefining what it means to support every platform—without compromise or extra hardware. With native integrations, intelligent sharing, and centralized management, Cisco Devices offer seamless, fully integrated experiences across Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Webex.
It’s a multi-platform world
Today, most conferencing devices are optimized for just one platform. It’s a reality that just doesn’t cut it for today’s multi-platform workflows. Our research suggests up to 85% of enterprise IT teams support two or more meeting platforms for their organization. Whether it be to support whole business units, a subset of meetings use cases, or to ensure business continuity, one thing remains clear: work happens on multiple meeting services.

At Cisco, we’re committed to providing intuitive and intelligent experiences regardless of the meeting platform. Cisco has been named a Leader in the 2025 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Enterprise Videoconferencing Systems (doc # US52995625, September 2025), citing Cisco’s interop capabilities. And we aren’t content to stop there:
Coming Soon – Zoom for Cisco Rooms
Zoom for Cisco Rooms is the result of our latest partnership with Zoom, significantly improving the experience of joining Zoom meetings from Cisco devices.
Meeting participants can enjoy the richness of fully featured Zoom Meetings on Cisco video collaboration devices, providing them a more complete experience when compared to today’s SIP-based solution that uses Zoom Conference Room Connector (CRC).

With this new solution, simply tap on a dedicated button to join a scheduled Zoom Meeting or press the Zoom icon to enter the meeting ID or start an instant meeting. Cisco RoomOS will then launch the Zoom Meetings experience.
During the meeting, participants will have access to the Zoom layouts, controls, sharing, and other in-meeting features they expect. Plus, they’ll benefit from the edge-AI smart audio and video capabilities of Cisco devices to deliver an equitable and inclusive meeting experience for both in-room and remote participants. When the meeting ends, the device will return to the Cisco Rooms home screen.
The new Zoom for Cisco Rooms solution provides two experiences:
- Guest mode. Requires no Zoom subscription, and will allow a guest to join a Zoom Meeting.
- Signed-in mode. Allows users to join, host, create Zoom Meetings, and access advanced functions. Requires a Zoom Rooms subscription and device registration in the Zoom web portal.
“Cisco has a bit of a spring in their step, innovating and moving pretty quickly… The Zoom interop announcement makes them the most interoperable system out there…They are emerging as the interoperability leader.”
Dave Michels & David Danto, TalkingPointz
The result is better for everyone – from employees who join and host Zoom Meetings – to IT teams who get access to Cisco’s powerful device management, network insights, workspace analytics, and smart building integrations.
Users can also join fully featured Webex meetings on the same device – no need to reboot or reconfigure your device between meetings and no need to compromise on the user experience.
Zoom for Cisco Rooms will be available as a RoomOS software upgrade and is on target to be generally available by the end of calendar year 2025. It is expected to be supported on the following devices, as they go through the application process for the Zoom Certified Hardware Program:
- Cisco Room Bar
- Cisco Room Bar Pro
- Cisco Room Kit EQ
- Cisco Room Kit EQX
- Cisco Room Kit Pro
- Cisco Board Pro
- Cisco Board Pro G2
- Cisco Desk Pro devices
Accelerating Microsoft Teams Rooms adoption
Cisco is now the fastest-growing Microsoft Teams Rooms ecosystem partner. It’s a strategic partnership that gives our customers flexibility and choice, and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Our customers value the combined power of Microsoft’s software suite with Cisco’s AI-powered hardware, a winning combination that creates next-level experiences for users and IT teams alike. IT teams especially appreciate the benefits of Control Hub, including enhanced management, observability and workplace insights, and deployment acceleration— making it easier to scale Microsoft Teams Rooms across their organizations.
But we aren’t stopping there– our innovation continues. Recently, we re-certified Cisco devices for Microsoft Teams with Android 13. Earlier this year, we also announced industry-first support for Apple AirPlay on Microsoft Teams Rooms (now in Beta), making it easier than ever to share content using your favorite devices.

That’s not all. At WebexOne in San Diego later this month (28 Sept – 01 Oct), we’re thrilled to be joined by our friends at Microsoft. We’ll share more details about the next phase of our partnership: to hear the announcement first, you can join us in-person or attend virtually by registering at webexone.com.
We’ll also showcase the latest capabilities with Microsoft Teams, including express install deployments with Samsung smart displays and furniture by Ashton Bentley and Salamander Designs.

In addition to enhancing our native Microsoft Teams Rooms solution, we’re also continuously improving our cloud video interop service – Webex Video Integration for Microsoft Teams (VIMT). Just this week, we released support for PowerPoint Live in VIMT, making it even easier to deliver rich, interactive presentations across platforms.
Enhanced sharing in Google Meet
We’ve also upgraded our Google Meet solution for Cisco devices, now supporting bi-directional content sharing with a range of wired and wireless options:
- HDMI or USB-C connection
- Miracast wireless sharing
- AirPlay wireless sharing
This is in addition to wireless sharing from the Google companion app. Available now in RoomOS release 11.29.1.5 (June 2025) and later, these new capabilities make it easier than ever to share content into Google Meet—using the method that suits you best. For more information see Google Meet meetings on RoomOS devices.
